The first page includes background on the Cuban Missile Crisis, quotations from JFK, the director and historians, a list of film elements that are accurate, a list of film elements that are inaccurate, and a series of questions for students to consider while watching.
 
The BACK PAGE includes a graphic organizer of main characters from the film with pictures of the actors and real-life characters side-by-side. Students are asked to identify each person's role or position on the situation.
